Week 5
This week was a continuation of last week as we continued to work on the infograph as a class. I know we started off by using the collaborative Google document, but as time went on, classmates started making their own Google draw page, so it got a little confusing as to which one we were using or putting our codes on. Eventually, I figured it out, but it made me realize that communication is key. Classmates referred to a green box without stating which document the box could be found, so it was just a matter of searching through all the files.
This week, we also attended our Google Hangout. Overall, it was definitely an interesting and fun way to have class. Technical difficulties seem to come up a lot and it's a matter of patience and teamwork. I ended up losing internet connection throughout my house while presenting and it was a struggle to get connected to the internet again. On my end, I was stressed and was trying to connect as fast as I could, and when my computer kept showing a popup that said I was putting in the wrong password, I started to get frustrated. I was so thankful and everyone was so patient with me while I was trying to figure out my life on the other end of the hangout.
And last but not least, HTML! This is what I've been waiting for! That assignment changed my view of websites completely. How many <p> </p> did it to take to create Youtube, Google, Facebook, and much more? It's crazy! I remember back in the Xanga days, I thought I was a pro by changing the table and font colors by using hex color codes and by programming the background so it doesn't scroll with the screen. I am now embarrassed. That HTML cheat sheet is golden! I am in love! I'm going to have to test out more things when I get a chance and I can't wait!
I know that in two weeks the lesson plan is due, and I'm a little unsure as I'm not sure the what it's suppose to consist of. As of now, I'm a little stressed, but I hope everything ends up okay.
Here's to another week of technology, fun, and education!
