Week 3
This week was a slightly tough week for me to follow. I think the overall concepts of the week was intriguing and easy to follow. Web2.0 is an interactive or collaborative platform that engages people. I realized that I encounter and use so many Web2.0 platforms on a daily basis and never knew that there was a term to generalize these group of websites.
One topic that I come across this week was the RSS feed on the O'Reilly link. I'm still a bit confused as to how this works. When I initially started blogging, many bloggers were talking about RSS, but I never fully grasped what this meant. I performed a quick Google search and learned that it's a way to get updates online content, but I still don't understand how this works. Is there a centralized website where all the RSS feeds I subscribed to populates? How am I notified about new content? Is it through email?
I believe there was a lot of confusion over this week's assignments and what's due. Near the top of Session, there's a list of assignments with the hyperlink of each submission for that week. The only thing about this Web2.0 assignment I was concerned about was my level of creativity. I feel like I want to creative in all the assignments and projects, but this week, I was really unsure and discouraged. This week, I felt good about my website choice until I saw others' posts on the Google document. I left my section blank for a couple of days so that if I found something better, I would come back and replace it, but, in the end, I didn't feel motivated to look for something new.
I do realize Session 5 just opened, so I do hope that this week can be a little better and I can get through it ok.
